The National Surveyors Seven's
May 2008
On Sunday 11 May, Richmond RFC hosted the annual National Surveyors Rugby Sevens and The 3 Little Miracles Funs was the chosen charity for this year's event. The day was blisteringly hot which led to probably the biggest turnout of spectators ever seen, which was great for the fundraising! A small band of helpers made up of friends, family and stalwarts dragged out of the Savills' beer tent, programmes were sold in aid of the charity and fund raising buckets were rattled all day. By the end of the day we had raised £6,500 in cash alone. Together with the teams' entry fees and advertising, the event will have grossed The 3 Little Miracles Fund in the order of £35,000, which is a truly remarkable figure.
We are indebted to the Organising Committee, especially Ollie Slack, for selecting the Fund as the chosen charity for this year's event and also to The Estates Gazette for their sponsorship. The tournament was won by King Sturge for the 4th year in a row.
