Chelsea & Westminster Officially Receive £250,000
from The 3 Little Miracles Fund

December 2009

On Friday 11 December, Anna and Andy Collier, accompanied by the triplets, Isabel, Emily & Ben, officially handed over a cheque for £250,000 to the Chief Executive of the Chelsea & Westminster NHS Trust. The Fund has already spent this money to purchase vital life saving equipment for the hospital.

Dr Gary Hartnoll, the Consultant Neonatologist who treated the triplets during their 101 days on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, says: “On behalf of all the staff on the unit and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, I would like to say a big thank you to Anna, Andrew and everyone who has donated so generously to the 3 Little Miracles Fund.

“Their incredible fundraising efforts have enabled us to buy state-of-the-art medical equipment which will enable us to save the lives of more babies and to spend NHS funds on other equipment.

“For example, the 3 new incubators which have been donated are specially designed so that surgeons can carry out surgical procedures without taking the baby out of the incubator which reduces the risk of infection and other complications.”
