Premature babies are at risk of condition called Retinopathy of Prematurity, which if not detected and treated early enough can lead to blindness. The retinal Camera takes pictures of the retinae which can then be sent digitally to the ophthalmologist to review, saving time and ensuring that the babies' eyes can be checked as frequently as needed in order to prevent later blindness.
