NICU has recently expanded from 28 to 34 cots and the Trust has just incorporated the staff required for that within their budget. There are set requirements for the number of staff required per cot at each level of care (intensive care, high dependency and special care) and the hospital ensures that they always have enough staff for the number of babies in their care. |
